ABOUT
Growing up in a family-run investment advisory business and then working with the highly effective financial strategies he discovered within the powerhouse Hollywood studios of Disney, Universal and Warner Brothers, ALAN HAFT has been involved in the world of finance for most of his life.
Having formed a media company with Oscar-nominated actor James Woods; helped take Day Software, a Zurich, Switzerland based technology company public; and raised money, planned productions and obsessed over every last detail to ensure the profitability of various business and media projects, Alan realized the road to success in business in many ways mirrors the prudent principles of succesful investing.
Today, as a nationally recognized financial advisor, speaker and writer, Alan has guided many people – from movie stars with a king’s ransom to married couples with large mortgages – to reach their financial goals and increase their standard of living.
Based in Newport Coast, California, Alan makes frequent appearances in a wide range of national print, radio and television media outlets. His ability to turn otherwise complex financial concepts into easy to understand and implement ideas has earned him continued exposure in national media such as CNBC, Fox, Money Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, USA Today, Forbes, Bloomberg, The Los Angeles Times and a long list of many others including an appearance in a recent issue of Smart Money Magazine (article on Roth IRAs).
He is the author of three books including The Haft Of It and The 10 Mistakes People Make With Their Money. His most recent book, You Can Never Be Too Rich (John Wiley & Sons, NY), appeared on various best seller lists and was selected as “Best Book” by the John Bogle “Bogleheads” investment organization. His next book entitled Eliminating The Negatives: techniques to maximize retirement income you have never been told about is due out for national publication later this year.
